These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of CurrencyFlip ("CurrencyFlip," "we," "us," or "our"), including its browser extension, website, and related services.
By installing, accessing, or using CurrencyFlip, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not install or use CurrencyFlip.
1. License to Use CurrencyFlip
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use CurrencyFlip, including for personal, commercial, and business purposes.
You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, republish, or commercially distribute the extension itself or any substantial part of it; modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer it for the purpose of deriving source code; or remove or alter proprietary notices, except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved by Comtel and its licensors.
2. Currency Rates and Conversion Results
CurrencyFlip provides currency conversion for informational and convenience purposes. Exchange rates are obtained from third-party rate services and may be delayed, unavailable, rounded, or different from rates offered by banks, card networks, payment providers, merchants, or other financial institutions.
We do not guarantee that a displayed rate or conversion result is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for a particular transaction.
CurrencyFlip is not a bank, broker, financial adviser, investment adviser, tax adviser, or payment institution. Do not rely solely on CurrencyFlip for financial, accounting, tax, investment, or other decisions where accuracy is critical. Verify important rates and amounts with the relevant provider before completing a transaction.
3. Availability and Third-Party Services
CurrencyFlip may depend on third-party services, including exchange-rate providers, browser platform services, payment services, and license validation services.
These third-party services may become unavailable, change their APIs, change their terms, limit access, or return incomplete or delayed data. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of CurrencyFlip or any third-party service on which it depends.
4. Pro Features and License Activation
CurrencyFlip may offer optional Pro features. Purchases and licensing may be provided through third-party payment and licensing infrastructure.
A license key may be required to activate Pro features. You are responsible for keeping your license key confidential and for using it only as permitted by the applicable license.
A license may not be transferred, resold, shared, or otherwise used in a manner that violates the applicable purchase or license terms.
Payment, refund, and transaction matters handled directly by a third-party payment provider may also be subject to that provider's applicable terms and policies.
5. Browser Permissions
CurrencyFlip requires certain browser permissions to provide its features. Depending on the browser and version, these may include:
- Context menus: Provides currency-conversion actions through the browser's context menu.
- Storage: Saves extension settings and relevant local license state.
- Notifications: Allows supported extension notifications.
- Side panel: Provides the CurrencyFlip interface through the browser side panel.
- Scripting and webpage access: Supports selected-value conversion and the extension's webpage functionality.

6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use CurrencyFlip only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the browser platform through which you obtain the extension.
You must not use CurrencyFlip to interfere with the operation of the extension or its supporting services, attempt to circumvent security or licensing mechanisms, or use the service in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
7. Intellectual Property
CurrencyFlip, including its software, design, branding, graphics, text, logos, and other original materials, is owned by Comtel or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of CurrencyFlip or any intellectual property to you.
8. Updates and Changes
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue all or part of CurrencyFlip, including individual features, third-party integrations, or supported services, at any time.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will indicate when the Terms were most recently revised. Continued use of CurrencyFlip after an update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CurrencyFlip is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Comtel and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, CurrencyFlip.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Termination
Your license to use CurrencyFlip ends if you materially violate these Terms or if the applicable license is otherwise terminated.
You may stop using CurrencyFlip at any time by uninstalling the extension. Pro license rights may remain subject to the applicable purchase and licensing terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Comtel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws provide otherwise.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts that have lawful jurisdiction over Comtel, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
